Organic Devil's Claw

Devil’s Claw has been a traditional herbal remedy used by African tribes with the sub-species Harpagophytum procumbens predominantly sourced from Namibia.
The characteristic constituents of Devil´s Claw are iridoid glycosides, with harpagoside as the key active compound.

Echinacea

Native to North America, echinacea has been used for its medicinal properties for generations. Today, echinacea is often taken to reduce symptoms and shorten the duration of the common cold while also boosting the immune system.

From the three out of nine species of echinacea, Nektium specialises in the extraction of the rarest, Echinacea angustifolia. Rich in echinacoside, a natural phenol, and containing alkylamides, Echinacea angustifolia is known to help modulate the immune system.

Lemon

The humble lemon is so much more than meets the eye. This citrus fruit and, more specifically, the fibrous peel brings with it prebiotic qualities to help boost the growth and activity of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Prebiotics or insoluble fibre also help prevent or relieve conditions like constipation.

Based on a long standing relationship with our supplier, we carefully source our organic lemons from the Mediterranean coast of Spain where the largest citrus fields of Europe are located, before processing the lemon peel in our specialised facilities and presenting it as a fibre powder.

Rhaponticum

Commonly known as Maral root or rhaponticum, we source our exclusive raw material the perennial herb Rhaponticum carthamoides from the Altai and Saian mountains of South Siberia.

Flourishing in the cold conditions, this medicinal herb is a plant-based source of ecdysteriods that supports muscle health for better sports performance and helps combat the effects of sarcopenia.

Our rhaponticum extract contains 1% total ecdysteroids.

Undaria

A species of kelp, Undaria pinnatifida is native to Japan and Southeast Asia where harvesting takes place in February when the sporophyte thalli reach between 1.5 and 2 metres. Bursting with fucoxanthin, a marine carotenoid, this brown seaweed has key benefits including thermogenic activity for increased energy and protective properties for the brain, heart, liver, and skin.

Both our undaria extracts come in the format of an oleoresin.
